Since 1985, we’ve been proud to be part of the construction scene in Eastern Canada as a leading distributor of building materials and importer of floor and wall covering products.
Our long-term approach to our employees, suppliers and customer partners is the foundation of our success.
In addition to our branches in Laval, Terrebonne, Québec and St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, we are also present in Concord, Ontario and Las Vegas, USA. We thus support a clientele of merchants, industries and manufacturers in their various sectors of activity.

Our history
1985
In 1985, Carrière et Lefebvre acquired Bois Marcel Benoit and Les Distributions BMB. The three entities remain. Despite the difficult economic climate of the first half of the 1980s, Carrière et Lefebvre continued to increase its market share in both the commercial and residential sectors.
A few years later, Pierre, André and Bernard Jr. Lefebvre, the three visionary sons, acquired two entities: Marcel Benoit Ltéée and Les Distributions BMB s.e.c. (1985).
2005
In 2005, Les Distributions BMB imported its second floor container. The company quickly became the industry leader in Eastern Quebec.
2009
The third generation of the Lefebvre family (Caroline, Marc-André and Alexandre) is now increasingly involved, bringing a vision and a wealth of knowledge and skills that will ensure the company’s continued growth.
2010
Creation of the Planchers 1867 trademark, which is now well known in the flooring industry.
2014
The company’s growing success leads to the opening of its first warehouse in Brampton, Ontario. The company expands its product portfolio to meet the many needs of customers specializing in floor coverings and building materials.
With over 60 manufacturing partners around the world and numerous local suppliers, Les Distributions BMB has created a solid global business network, based on trusted relationships to offer a diversified and accessible product portfolio.
2022
Les Distributions BMB sets up shop in the greater Quebec City area and opens a warehouse to support its growth plan. The strategic, easily accessible location lends itself well to logistics and distribution activities.
2023
Avec plus de 3500 conteneurs transigés par année, BMB se positionne en avant-plan dans le marché comme importateur et distributeur de revêtements de sol. BMB dessert plus de 400 marchands avec sa marque commerciale Planchers 1867 ainsi que ses nombreuses marques privées exclusives.
Les Distributions BMB offre un service complet, de la sélection de produit jusqu’à la livraison, en passant par le service client, les achats, la logistique, l’entreposage, la création de marques – du développement des collections de produits jusqu’à la mise en marché, en passant par l’échantillonnage.
